FUFA Women Super League: Matchday 20 Fixtures Rescheduled

By: Geoffrey Mugabi

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has adjusted the Matchday 20 fixtures of the FUFA Women Super League.

The matches, which were initially scheduled for Sunday, have been rescheduled to Saturday, 25 April. All games will kick off at 10:00 am, with venues remaining unchanged.

According to the revised schedule, She Corporate will host St Noa, Kawempe Muslim Ladies will welcome Rines SS, Kampala Queens will visit Lady Doves, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga will face She Maroons in Luzira, Amus College will host Olila High School, while Makerere University will travel to take on Asubo Ladies.

The adjustment has been made to allow the Uganda U20 Women’s National Team, the Queen Cranes, sufficient time to prepare for their upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers double-header against Ghana.

Uganda will face Ghana in the first leg between 1–3 May, with the return leg scheduled for 8–10 May.

The winner on aggregate will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Poland later this year.

Meanwhile, She Corporate lead the league standings with 47 points, closely followed by Kawempe Muslim Ladies with 45 points, with only three matches remaining in the season.

Defending champions Kampala Queens are out of the title race and currently sit third with 32 points.

At the bottom of the table, Olila High School and Asubo Ladies have already been relegated and will feature in the FUFA Women Elite League next season.
