FUFA Publishes Club Ownership Structures for Uganda Premier League Sides

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has released the latest ownership details of Uganda Premier League clubs in line with Article 13 of the FUFA Club Ownership and Registration Regulations 2025.

The regulation mandates FUFA to periodically publish and update club ownership structures as recorded in the FUFA Certificate of Club Ownership, with the aim of promoting transparency and accountability in football management. Clubs are required to declare their ownership structures annually.

Vipers SC operates as Vipers Sports Club Limited, with Lawrence Mulindwa holding a 90% majority stake, while Kitandwe Tadeus Lataaya and Kyobe Haruna each own 5%.

SC Villa operates under The Registered Trustees of Villa Members Trust, with ownership vested in its members. Under this structure, shareholding percentages are not applicable.

KCCA FC is registered as KCCA Football Club Limited and operates as a company limited by guarantee, with Kampala Capital City Authority listed as the sole subscriber.

Express FC operates as Express Football Club Limited and has a broad shareholder base. Vincent Bbale Mugera, Godfrey Kirumira Kalule, Suubi Kiwanuka Mulwanyi, Samuel Kisakye Sejjaaka, Robert Senabulya Ssawa and Jackson Monday Mugalu each hold 1%. Kiryowa Mugambe Kiwanuka and Francis Kabonge Buwule each hold 2%, Samuel Kiwanuka holds 1%, while 89% of the shares remain unallotted.

BUL FC operates as BUL Football Club Limited and is structured as a company limited by guarantee, with Barente Ronald and Yesho Titus listed as subscribers.

Buhimba United Saints FC is registered as Buhimba United Saints FC Ltd, with Ahurra Julius holding 30%, Suta Mukama Everest 20%, Tumusiime Geofrey 10%, and Andwanaho Abiud 40%.

Calvary FC operates as Calvary Football Club Limited, a company limited by guarantee, with Aniku Vincent and Onzima Kizito as subscribers.

Entebbe UPPC FC operates as UPPC Football Club Ltd with a distributed shareholding structure. Bwengye Francis holds 5% and an additional 18%, Opoka Hellen holds 5% and an additional 18%, Opio Okurut Joseph holds 18%, while Nansamba Bashirah and Nabirye Sarah each hold 18%.

Kitara FC operates as Kitara Football Club Limited with a multi-shareholder structure. Musinguzi Denis and Atugonza Joshua each hold 15%. Nyaika Gilbert, Mugerwa Francis, Kaboyo Brian, Kirungi Byakutaga Andrew, Wakabi Pius, Kaliisa Tadeo Judus and Bamwenda Godfrey each hold 8%, while Nsabimana Emmanuel holds 6%.

Lugazi FC operates as Lugazi Football Club Limited. Abdul Kawuulu Mwanje holds a majority 87% stake, while Ssemanda Ahmed Kamadi, Ssekilime Khasim and Tahleem Abdul Salaam Mwanje each hold 1%. Ten percent of the shares remain unallotted.

Maroons FC operates as Maroons Football Club Limited and is structured as a company limited by guarantee. Its subscribers are Dr. Johnson Omuhunde Byabashaija, Mr. John Bosco Tumwebaze and Mr. Wilson Roberts Mukyasi.

Mbarara City FC operates as Mbarara City Football Club Limited and is wholly owned by Mwine Mpaka Rwamirama, who holds 100%.

NEC FC operates as NEC Football Club Limited and is structured as a company limited by guarantee, with National Enterprise Corporation and Bahanda Brian listed as subscribers.

Police FC operates as Police Football Club Limited and is structured as a company limited by guarantee. Its subscribers include Halango Timothy Osric, Arinaitwe Peneaha Katureebe and Lajan Livingstone.

UPDF FC operates as UPDF Football Club Limited and is structured as a company limited by guarantee. The listed subscribers are Hon. Gen. Wilson Mbadi Mbasu, Ms. Rosette Byengoma and Rtd. Brig. Gen. Wilson Muhabuzi.

URA FC operates as URA Football Club Limited and is structured as a company limited by guarantee. Its subscribers include Kariisa Richard, Rubanga Alexander, Bernard Bainamani Bampaire, Labeja Ceasar, Kaduyu Moses Niola, Pulle John Amigo, Okabo Sam and Bajenja Edson.
