UPDF FC thrashed BUL FC 5-2 in a Matchday 24 fixture of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League to boost their relegation survival hopes.
The match, played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, saw UPDF register their first away victory of 2026 in emphatic fashion.
Ivan Bogere scored a brace, while Rashid Faridi, Emmanuel Ochen, and Enrique Lubwama each added a goal for the visitors. Denis Ssewagudde and Hilary Onek netted the consolation goals for BUL FC.
UPDF made a bright start, taking the lead in the seventh minute through Emmanuel Ochen.
However, BUL responded quickly, with Denis Ssewagudde equalising to make it 1-1.
The visitors then took control of the game, scoring three quick goals before halftime.
Bogere struck twice within seven minutes, while Lubwama added a fourth at the stroke of halftime to give UPDF a commanding 4-1 lead.

UPDF extended their advantage eight minutes into the second half, with Rashid Faridi making it 5-1 to effectively put the game beyond BUL’s reach.
Hilary Onek pulled one back for BUL FC late in the match, but it only served to reduce the deficit.
At full time, UPDF secured a crucial 5-2 victory, moving five points clear of the relegation zone.
Despite the defeat, BUL FC remain eighth on the table with 31 points, although they could drop to ninth if Express FC defeat NEC FC later in the day.
In their next fixtures, UPDF FC will host URA FC, while BUL FC will travel to face Express FC.
