URA FC – Goalkeeper Abdu Magada, Hudu Mulikyi, Disan Galiwango, Olimi Nyarwa, Joseph Ssemujju are ruled out due to injuries, while defender Arthur Kiggundu is doubtful.

UPDF FC – All players are available for selection.

The Uganda Premier League Matchday 25 kicks off on Friday, April 24, with URA FC traveling to Bombo to face UPDF FC.

The Tax Collectors will be searching for their first away victory of the season against a UPDF side eager to secure maximum points in their bid to avoid relegation.

URA FC come into this fixture following a 2-1 defeat to Police FC, a match in which they had taken the lead but failed to hold on, extending their wait for a first away win this season.

UPDF FC, on the other hand, boosted their survival hopes with an emphatic 5-2 victory over BUL FC in Njeru.

In the first-round meeting, URA FC edged UPDF FC 3-2, with Moses Aliro scoring a brace and George Masembe adding the third. Samson Kigozi and Samuel Ssekamate (now at NEC FC) were on target for UPDF FC.

Last season, the two sides played out a goalless draw in Bombo. However, URA FC have dominated recent encounters, winning three and drawing two of their last five meetings against UPDF FC.

It has now been eight years since UPDF FC last defeated URA FC, a 1-0 victory recorded in April 2018.

“After losing the previous game to Police FC, we went back as a technical team to improve the squad so that we can compete better in the next match against UPDF FC and secure maximum points. We know UPDF FC are fighting relegation, but we are also not in a good position, so we must approach this game carefully while targeting our first away victory this season,” said Hussein Mbalangu.

If URA FC secure their first away win of the season on Friday, they will move to 26 points, though they will remain in 11th position.

For UPDF FC, victory would take them to 23 points, keeping them in 12th place but moving them eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Prediction: UPDF FC 1-1 URA FC
