SC Villa produced a dominant performance to thrash struggling Buhimba United 4-0 in a Uganda Premier League Matchday 25 fixture.

Patrick Jonah Kakande opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, finishing off a well-worked move assisted by Frank Ssebuufu. It was a special moment for Kakande, who was also celebrating his birthday.

In the 25th minute, Najib Yiga doubled SC Villa’s lead, once again benefiting from an assist by Ssebuufu, as the hosts took a comfortable 2-0 advantage into halftime.

On the hour mark, Yiga grabbed his second goal of the match to make it 3-0, with Charles Lwanga providing the assist.

Mid-season signing Andrew Okumu made his SC Villa debut in the 70th minute, coming on as a substitute for Frank Mulimi.

Late in the game, Charles Lwanga got on the scoresheet to seal an emphatic 4-0 victory for the hosts.

The win lifts SC Villa to 51 points, keeping them firmly in the race near the top of the table.

Buhimba United remain in the relegation zone with 15 points, with their survival hopes continuing to fade.

In their next fixtures, SC Villa will visit Kitara FC, while Buhimba United will host Lugazi FC.

Matchday 25 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League concludes on Sunday as table leaders Vipers SC host Entebbe UPPC at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
