Charles Bbaale and Brian Obedi scored a goal each as Police FC defeated UPDF FC in Matchday 26 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Kamwokya.

Police secured a 2-0 victory on Wednesday to complete a league double over UPDF FC, having also won 2-1 in the first leg.

Just nine minutes into the game, Charles Bbaale gave the hosts the lead with a stunning free kick.

UPDF FC pushed for an equaliser, but Enrique Lubwama was denied by Police goalkeeper Sammon Oloka.

Before halftime, Umaru Kasumba came close to doubling the lead for the hosts, but his effort was saved by UPDF goalkeeper Richard Anyama.

Seven minutes into the second half, Brian Obedi extended Police’s advantage.

He latched onto a long ball on the wing, beat his marker with pace, and fired past Anyama from a tight angle.

Police maintained control for the remainder of the match to secure the 2-0 win and complete the double over their opponents.

The victory sees Police FC move to sixth place with 44 points, while UPDF FC drop to 13th with 21 points following Lugazi’s win over Buhimba.

Elsewhere, Entebbe UPPC defeated Calvary 2-0, while Lugazi edged Buhimba 2-0 in Hoima.
