The Uganda U20 Women’s National Team, the Queen Cranes, will be aiming to secure a historic FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualification when they host Ghana in the return leg of the qualifiers on Saturday.
Uganda heads into the decisive encounter at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba trailing 2-1 from the first leg played in Ghana.
Agnes Nabukenya scored Uganda’s goal in the first leg, while Priscilla Mensah and Latifa Abesik scored for Ghana to complete a comeback victory.
Backed by home support, the Queen Cranes will be determined to overturn the deficit and qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be hosted in Poland.
The winner on aggregate after the second leg will automatically secure qualification to the World Cup.
Ghana have qualified for the tournament seven times, including the previous edition, while Uganda are seeking a maiden appearance at the global showpiece.

Team News – Pre-match Interviews
Sheryl Botes – Uganda Head Coach
“It’s a do-or-die game as we are looking to qualify for our first-ever World Cup, and we are very positive. We reviewed the first leg and worked on our weaknesses to avoid making the same mistakes again on Saturday.”
“We are playing to win and qualify for the World Cup. Ghana have mature players with physicality, and they had speedy substitutes in the first leg, but we know we have a huge opportunity to become the first Ugandan women’s team to qualify for the World Cup.”
Charles Sampson – Ghana Head Coach
“I am happy with the weather in Uganda. It is favourable, and the pitch has a good playing surface. We are here either to defend our first-leg lead or win the return leg and return to the World Cup. That is our objective.”
Prediction: Uganda 1-1 Ghana
How to Watch: The match will be broadcast live on FUFA TV, and fans will be granted free entry at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
