Kunihira Fires Kenya Police Bullets to Third Straight League Title

Ugandan forward Margaret Kunihira scored the decisive goal as Kenya Police Bullets FC edged Trinity Starlets FC 1-0 on Sunday to clinch the league title with one game left to play.

In the match played at Trinity Complex Stadium on Sunday, Kunihira struck five minutes before halftime, and her goal proved enough to hand Kenya Police Bullets FC a narrow but crucial victory.

The win confirmed Kenya Police Bullets FC as league champions for the third consecutive season.

Kunihira headed into the match in fine form after scoring twice and providing four assists in Kenya Police Bullets FC’s previous game, a dominant 9-0 victory over Vihiga Queens FC.

The Ugandan striker has now scored 16 league goals and registered nine assists this season, placing her at the top of the league’s scoring charts.

Four Ugandan players are part of the title-winning Kenya Police Bullets FC squad, namely Margaret Kunihira, Zainah Namuleme, Daisy Nakaziro, and Desire Katisi Natooro.
