Road to the Final Set as USSSA Boys’ Football Semifinal Fixtures Are Confirmed

The quarterfinal stage of the ongoing USSSA Boys’ Football Championship in Lira has been concluded on Sunday, with the four semifinalists now confirmed alongside their respective opponents.
East Africa champions Bukedea Comprehensive needed penalties to eliminate resilient Masaka SS and book a place in the last four.
Normal time ended 1-1, with Deus Niwaha giving Bukedea the lead before Simon Kafuma scored a late equaliser for Masaka SS.
Bukedea, however, held their nerve in the shootout to win 4-1 on penalties and progress to the semifinals, where they will face Kyadondo SS.
Kyadondo SS eliminated defending champions Buddo SS courtesy of Edema Bashir’s decisive penalty goal.
Meanwhile, powerhouse St Mary’s Kitende produced a dominant display to thrash Numasa SS 6-0.
Denis Kisiriko scored a hat-trick, James Ssekate added a brace, while Claude Wakenge scored the other goal to seal the emphatic victory.
Kitende will now face Amus College in the semifinals for a place in the final.
Amus College knocked out London College Nansana thanks to Mudasir Ijosiga’s decisive lone goal.
The winner between Amus College and St Mary’s Kitende will face either Bukedea Comprehensive or Kyadondo SS in the final.
The semifinals will be played on Monday in Lira as the four schools battle for a place in the final and keep alive their hopes of lifting the title.
All four semifinalists have already secured qualification for the 2026 FEASSA Boys’ Football Championship.
