Buhimba United Saints and Calvary FC have officially been relegated from the Uganda Premier League following Tuesday’s results.
Calvary FC’s goalless draw against UPDF FC in Bombo confirmed their relegation together with Buhimba United Saints, with both clubs set to play in the FUFA Big League next season.
The draw moved UPDF FC to 22 points, placing them four points above Calvary and seven ahead of bottom-placed Buhimba with only one game left to play this season.
Calvary FC remain on 18 points, while Buhimba United Saints sit bottom of the table with 15 points after 29 matches.
With only one round of fixtures remaining, neither Calvary nor Buhimba can mathematically catch UPDF FC, confirming their relegation from the top flight.
Buhimba United Saints also suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Mbarara City FC in Kamwenge on Tuesday, with Clinton Kamugisha and Edwok Ronald scoring the goals for the Ankole Lions.

Both relegated sides earned promotion to the Uganda Premier League last season but will return to the FUFA Big League after spending only one season in the top division.
Meanwhile, Blacks Power FC and Kigezi HomeBoyz have already secured promotion to the Uganda Premier League, while the remaining two promotion slots are yet to be confirmed.
Elsewhere, Vipers SC defeated Maroons FC 3-0 at Wankulukuku to secure their eighth Uganda Premier League title.
The victory moved the Venoms to 64 points, five ahead of second-placed KCCA FC, who were held to a goalless draw by URA FC at Nakivubo.
Vipers SC will host Express FC in their final league match this Saturday at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, where they will officially be crowned champions.
