The date and venue for the 2026 Uganda Cup final have officially been confirmed.

The final will be played on Saturday, May 30, at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, with Uganda Premier League sides SC Villa and Kitara FC set to battle for the trophy.

FUFA Stadium, Kadiba also hosted the 2025 Uganda Cup final where Vipers SC defeated KCCA FC 2-0 to win the competition.

To reach this year’s final, SC Villa eliminated URA FC with a 3-0 aggregate victory, while Kitara FC progressed on the away goals rule after a goalless draw in Hoima and a 1-1 draw against reigning champions Vipers SC in Kitende.

For both SC Villa and Kitara FC, the Uganda Cup remains their only opportunity to end the season with silverware following Vipers SC’s confirmation as the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League champions on Matchday 29.

Both finalists have previously won the competition. SC Villa are nine-time winners, while Kitara FC lifted their maiden Uganda Cup title in 2024.

It has now been 11 years since SC Villa last won the Uganda Cup after defeating KCCA FC 3-0 in a replayed final at Nakivubo Stadium.

Should SC Villa defeat Kitara FC in the final, they will move level with KCCA FC and Express FC as the joint most successful clubs in the competition’s history with 10 titles each.

Having won the Uganda Cup nine times and with the final set to be played at a venue where they host their league matches, SC Villa could hold a slight advantage heading into the showdown against Kitara FC.
