Former Uganda Hippos and SC Villa midfielder Hakim Mutebi has completed a move to Tunisian side CS Sfaxien.

According to reliable sources, Mutebi joins the Tunisian club from BSK Banja Luka, a side he signed for in January this year.

The midfielder featured for BSK Banja Luka in the Bosnia and Herzegovina top-flight league, making seven appearances during his five-month stay at the club before securing the move to North Africa.

At CS Sfaxien, Mutebi will reunite with fellow Ugandan midfielder Travis Mutyaba.

CS Sfaxien finished third in the Tunisian top-flight league this season behind Club Africain and Espérance de Tunis.

Mutebi is a former student of St Mary’s Kitende and is widely known for his creativity, pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal.

In 2023, he was voted the Best Player of the CECAFA U18 Boys Championship after guiding Uganda to the title.

The talented midfielder scored in Uganda’s 2-1 victory over Kenya in the final as the Uganda U18 side lifted the regional championship.

In 2024, Mutebi also impressed at the All-Africa Games in Ghana, where the Uganda Hippos won the silver medal. His performances later earned him the Fortebet Real Stars Footballer of the Month award.
