The 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season will officially conclude on Saturday, May 23, with seven matches scheduled across different venues.
URA FC already completed their final fixture on Friday, securing a 3-0 away victory against relegated Buhimba United Saints in Hoima. The match was played earlier because Buhimba and Kitara FC share the same home venue, with both clubs initially scheduled to host matches on the final day.
Here is a look at the predictions for the final round of fixtures set to bring the curtain down on the season.
────────────────────────────────────────
Vipers SC vs Express FC – Kitende
The Venoms have already secured the league title, but they will be determined to end the season with victory before celebrating in front of their home supporters at Kitende.
Vipers remain unbeaten at home this season, with their only league defeat awarded by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel after failing to honour the first-leg fixture against Kitara FC.
Usama Arafat, Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa, and Karim Watambala are expected to lead the search for goals for the champions.
Prediction: Vipers SC 2-0 Express FC
────────────────────────────────────────
KCCA FC vs Mbarara City – Lugogo
The Kasasiro Boys are set to finish another season without silverware, but victory against Mbarara City would guarantee them a second-place finish.
Mbarara City have already secured survival and have little left to play for heading into the game.
One key factor could be KCCA’s desire to finish the campaign strongly at home, while striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe will also be aiming to secure the Golden Boot. He currently leads the scoring charts with 13 goals, one ahead of Entebbe UPPC striker Ambrose Kigozi.
Prediction: KCCA FC 4-1 Mbarara City
────────────────────────────────────────
Lugazi FC vs Maroons FC – Najjembe
Maroons FC have won all three previous Uganda Premier League meetings against Lugazi FC.
A victory for Maroons could secure a place in next season’s FUFA Super 8 tournament if BUL FC lose and Express FC fail to beat Vipers SC.
Prediction: Lugazi FC 1-2 Maroons FC
────────────────────────────────────────
Calvary FC vs NEC FC – Yumbe
The hosts are already relegated, while NEC FC will be eager to bounce back following their heavy 4-1 defeat to SC Villa on the previous matchday.
Prediction: Calvary FC 0-5 NEC FC
────────────────────────────────────────
Entebbe UPPC vs BUL FC – Bugonga
Entebbe UPPC won the first leg 2-0 in Njeru, but BUL FC know that avoiding defeat would secure eighth place and qualification for next season’s FUFA Super 8 tournament.
Prediction: Entebbe UPPC 0-0 BUL FC
────────────────────────────────────────
Kitara FC vs Police FC – Hoima
Neither side can finish in the top three, and both have already secured qualification for next season’s FUFA Super 8 tournament.
Kitara FC may look to balance the squad and rest some key players ahead of next Saturday’s Uganda Cup final.
Prediction: Kitara FC 1-1 Police FC
────────────────────────────────────────
SC Villa vs UPDF FC – Kadiba
The Jogoos host an UPDF FC side that secured survival on the previous matchday.
SC Villa head into the fixture full of confidence after thrashing NEC FC 4-1 using a heavily rotated squad in midweek.
Prediction: SC Villa 3-1 UPDF FC
