The 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup has reached the Round of 16 stage, with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations confirming the fixtures, dates, and venues for the matches.

Teams that reached the quarterfinals in last year’s edition were automatically granted byes to the Round of 16.

The clubs that received byes are Amus College WFC, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, Kampala Queens FC, Lady Doves FC, St Noa Girls FC, She Corporate FC, and Wakiso Hill WFC.

The eight teams that progressed from the Round of 32 joined the eight sides that had received byes to complete the Round of 16 lineup.

Defending champions Amus College WFC will face URA FC Women, who defeated Uganda Martyrs High School Junior Team 2-0 to book their place in the last 16.

The 2023 champions Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC will take on giants Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC in one of the standout fixtures of the round. Both teams entered the competition at this stage after receiving byes.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies will also be chasing their maiden Women’s Cup title and a double this season after clinching the league championship on the final day.

Makerere University WFC secured a convincing 6-1 victory over Police FC in the previous round and will now host She Maroons FC, who advanced after Boni Consili failed to show up for their fixture.

The 2018 winners UCU Lady Cardinals staged a comeback to defeat Jinja United WFC 4-2 and will now face BUL FC Women in Mukono.

Kampala Queens FC will host She Kasese FC at Lugogo after the visitors eliminated Lamancia Women FC in the previous round.

Sheema Girls FC, who defeated Ateker FC 2-1 away from home to reach this stage, will host Super League side Lady Doves FC.

One of the surprise packages of this year’s competition, Dream Girls FC, who compete in the third division, eliminated Buheesi Valley FC with a 5-3 victory to progress to the Round of 16, where they will face St Noa Girls FC at Wankulukuku.

The 2024 champions She Corporate FC will travel to face FUFA Women Elite League side Wakiso Hill WFC in Maya. Both teams had received byes into this stage.

The Round of 16 matches will be played this weekend, with the winners progressing to the quarterfinals.

According to the tournament rules, if teams remain level at the end of normal time, extra time of 15 minutes per half will be played.

If the teams are still tied after extra time, the winner will be determined through a penalty shootout.
