VIDEO: Rogers Torach Wins Uganda Premier League Goal of the Season Award
Rogers Torach has won the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League Goal of the Season award.
The Vipers SC defender claimed the accolade during the awards ceremony currently taking place at Kati Kati Grounds following his stunning long-range strike against Lugazi FC.
Torach scored the memorable goal on March this year when he unleashed a powerful effort from distance that found the back of the net as Vipers went on to secure a 3-0 victory at Kitende.
To win the award, Torach beat five other nominees who were also shortlisted for spectacular goals scored during the season.
Among the players he edged were Hassan Mubiru for his goal against KCCA FC, Alex Yiga for his strike against BUL FC, Robin Kane for his goal against UPDF FC, Karim Watambala for his effort against Police FC, and Charles Lwanga for his strike against Police FC.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Kulanga of NEC FC also scored a stunning volley against SC Villa towards the end of the season.
However, the goal came after the nominations had already been released and was therefore not considered for the award.
Kulanga’s strike was nevertheless voted NEC FC’s Goal of the Season, earning him an accolade and a cash prize of UGX 1 million during the club’s recent end-of-season awards dinner.
