2025/26 Uganda Premier League Awards: Full List of Winners

The 2025/26 Uganda Premier League Awards ceremony was held on Friday evening at Kati Kati Restaurant, with several players, coaches, and officials recognised for their outstanding performances throughout the season.

In a colourful event, Karim Watambala of Vipers SC was named the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) following an exceptional campaign.

Watambala scored 12 league goals and registered four assists, while also earning several Man of the Match accolades as he helped Vipers secure the league title.

Beyond the numbers, Watambala stood out for his all-round performances, particularly after taking over the attacking midfield role following Allan Okello’s move to Young Africans SC in February this year.

Hannington Sebwalunyo of NEC FC was named Best Goalkeeper of the Season and also won the Golden Glove award.

Sebwalunyo kept 13 clean sheets, went 17 league matches unbeaten, and remarkably scored two decisive goals against Mbarara City FC and URA FC.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe of KCCA FC won the Golden Boot after finishing as the league’s top scorer with 14 goals. He also contributed four assists during the campaign.

Rogers Torach of Vipers SC won the Goal of the Season award for his stunning long-range strike against Lugazi FC at Kitende in March 2026.

Enrique Lubwama of UPDF FC was named Young Player of the Season, while his club also received the Fair Play Award.

Meanwhile, Ivan Jacky Minnaert of Vipers SC walked away with the Coach of the Season award after guiding the club to its eighth Uganda Premier League title.

Former FIFA referee Constance Catherine Adipo Wejuli was honoured with the Platinum Award for her contribution to football.

It should be noted that Vipers SC will represent Uganda in next season’s CAF Champions League after winning the league title, while Calvary FC and Buhimba Saints United FC were relegated from the top flight.
