Isaac Gumperom Wins 2025-26 FUFA Big League Golden Boot
The 2025-26 FUFA Big League season came to a close on Saturday, June 6, with the champions, promoted and relegated teams, as well as the Golden Boot winner, officially confirmed.
Young Elephant Academy FC striker Isaac Gumperom finished as the league’s top scorer after netting 17 goals during the campaign.
Kiyinda Boys forward Jimmy Ndalambi finished second on the scoring chart with 15 goals, while Gerald Ogweti of Bunyaruguru and James Jarieko of Ntugasaze each scored 14 goals to share third place.
Gumperom’s goals played a key role in Young Elephant Academy’s campaign and earned him the coveted Golden Boot award as the league’s leading marksman.
Meanwhile, Blacks Power finished at the top of the table with 55 points to clinch the 2025-26 FUFA Big League title. The club is set to be officially crowned champions on Sunday.
Blacks Power, Ntugasaze, Kigezi HomeBoyz, and Kataka FC secured promotion to the Uganda Premier League for the 2026-27 season.
At the other end of the table, former Uganda Premier League sides Wakiso Giants, Soltilo Bright Stars, and Mbale Heroes were relegated to the Regional League alongside Nebbi Central.
