Kenyan Giants Eye Move for KCCA FC Attacker
Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia are interested in re-signing KCCA FC versatile attacker Rogers Mugisha, Sports Light Uganda understands.
According to reliable sources, the Kenyan giants are exploring the possibility of bringing Mugisha back to the club as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The attacker endured a difficult 2025-26 campaign at KCCA FC, struggling for regular playing time. He featured in 12 Uganda Premier League matches and scored one goal.
Mugisha previously played for Gor Mahia after joining the Kenyan side in August 2023. However, his stay was short-lived as he moved to Danish club AC Horsens just four months later.
The former Uganda Cubs and Uganda Hippos player joined KCCA FC in September 2025 from Kitara FC on a three-year contract that runs until the end of the 2027-28 season.
It is understood that KCCA FC could be open to discussions regarding a potential transfer should a suitable offer arrive.

However, the player’s future may also depend on developments within the club’s technical bench.
If Jackson Magera departs and Brian Ssenyondo is handed the head coach role, Mugisha could remain at Lugogo.
Ssenyondo has previously worked with Mugisha at both UPDF FC and Kitara FC and is believed to be a strong admirer of the player’s abilities.
Primarily a winger, Mugisha is also capable of operating as an attacking midfielder, offering versatility in the final third.
Throughout his career, the talented attacker has featured for Mbarara City FC, UPDF FC, Gor Mahia, AC Horsens, Kitara FC, and KCCA FC.
