Former Copa Coca-Cola MVP Joins South Sudan’s Jamus

Former Copa Coca-Cola Most Valuable Player Ivan Wani Adebo has completed a move to South Sudanese club Jamus SC, Sports Light Uganda understands.

According to reliable sources, the midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the ambitious South Sudan Premier League side.

Wani rose to prominence in 2017 when he was named the Most Valuable Player of the Copa Coca-Cola Schools Championship.

He played a pivotal role in guiding Jinja Secondary School to the title, with his side defeating St Mary’s Kitende 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the final held at Masaka Recreation Ground.

The move sees Wani join a growing list of former Uganda Premier League players currently plying their trade at Jamus SC, with more arrivals reportedly expected as the club continues to strengthen its squad.

During his career in Uganda, Wani featured for BUL FC, Busoga United FC, and Maroons FC, gaining valuable experience in the top flight.
