CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship: Zanzibar vs Uganda – Preview, Probable Lineup, Prediction

The Uganda U17 Women’s National Team, the Teen Cranes, will be in action on Tuesday afternoon against Zanzibar in their second Group B match of the 2026 CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship.
The match, which will be played at KMC Stadium, presents Uganda with an opportunity to register a second consecutive victory and strengthen their grip on top spot in the group.
Uganda began their campaign in emphatic fashion, thrashing Djibouti 13-0, while Zanzibar suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to South Sudan in their opening fixture.
Shadia Nabirye scored a hat-trick in Uganda’s victory over Djibouti, while Immaculate Acen and Justine Ayerango each netted a brace.
Flavia Yagala, Rashida Nakalema, Tracy Nabalanzi, Lydia Nameseruka, Brenda Nassaka, and Vicky Atyeronimungu also got on the scoresheet in the dominant win.
Sheryl Botes’ side will be targeting maximum points once again and could secure a place in the semi-finals with a game to spare if South Sudan defeat Djibouti in the other Group B fixture.
The South African tactician is expected to make a few changes to the starting lineup that dismantled Djibouti, with Brenda Nassaka likely to start ahead of Flavia Yagala.
