OFFICIAL: URA Tie Down Midfield Duo Ssekibengo and Kisolo
Uganda Premier League side URA FC have officially confirmed the contract extensions of midfielders Godfrey Ssekibengo and Innocent Kisolo.
This website had earlier reported that the two players had agreed and signed new three-year contracts with the Tax Collectors.
In a statement released on Wednesday, June 17, URA FC confirmed the renewals.
“URA FC is pleased to confirm the contract renewals of Godfrey Ssekibengo and John Innocent Kisolo. Both midfielders have committed their futures to the club with new deals running until 2029.
A strong foundation for the seasons ahead.”
Both Ssekibengo and Kisolo are highly valued members of the squad and are considered key figures in the club’s long-term plans.
The talented midfield pair developed through the KCCA FC Junior Team before furthering their football careers at St Henry’s College Kitovu.
One of the standout achievements in Ssekibengo’s career came in 2018 when he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the Gothia Cup tournament held in China.
The contract extensions follow the recent renewal of striker Denis Kisiriko as URA continue to build their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Tax Collectors will be hoping for a much-improved campaign after a disappointing 2025/26 season in which they finished 11th in the Uganda Premier League and were eliminated by SC Villa in the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
