URA Ladies FC have secured a historic promotion to the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over UPDF Women FC on Saturday evening in the FUFA Women Elite League game.
The decisive fixture, played at the Kawempe Muslim Grounds, was settled by Cynthia Kirenga, whose goal earned URA Ladies all three points and confirmed their place in Uganda’s top-flight women’s league for the 2026-27 season.
The victory takes URA Ladies FC to 38 points, five clear of second-placed Boni Consili on the Elizabeth Group table.
With only one match remaining this season, Boni Consili can no longer catch URA Ladies mathematically, confirming the Tax Collectors’ promotion.

URA Ladies have enjoyed an outstanding campaign, winning 12 of their 14 matches while drawing the other two. They remain unbeaten and are on course to finish the season without a defeat.
URA Ladies FC will conclude their league campaign against Tooro Queens before taking on Jinja United Women FC in the 2025-26 FUFA Women Elite League final.
Jinja United Women FC also secured promotion to the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League after topping the Victoria Group with 29 points.
With both teams having sealed promotion, URA Ladies FC and Jinja United Women FC will face off in the FUFA Women Elite League final to determine the overall champions of the 2025-26 season.
The two promoted sides replace Olila High School WFC and Asubo Ladies FC, who were relegated from the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League to the FUFA Women Elite League.
