OFFICIAL: KCCA FC Appoint Brian Ssenyondo as Head Coach
Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC have officially appointed Brian Ssenyondo as their head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The club confirmed the changes to its technical team on Wednesday, July 1, through its official social media platforms.
Ssenyondo, who served as co-head coach alongside Jackson Magera last season, guided the Kasasiro Boys to a second-place finish in the Uganda Premier League and a quarterfinal appearance in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Following the restructuring of the technical bench, Magera has been appointed first assistant coach and will deputise Ssenyondo.
The CAF A Licence holder brings a wealth of top-flight coaching experience, having previously managed UPDF FC, Mbarara City FC and Kitara FC.
One of the highlights of his coaching career came in 2024 when he guided Kitara FC to their maiden Stanbic Uganda Cup title.
Ssenyondo also made history with the Uganda Cubs by leading the national U17 team to their first-ever FIFA U-17 World Cup qualification, making them the first Ugandan football team to qualify for a FIFA World Cup tournament.
KCCA FC have also confirmed the departure of strength and conditioning coach Felix Ayobu, who has been replaced by experienced fitness trainer Ram Nyakana Mpuuga.
Nyakana brings extensive experience, having previously worked with top-flight clubs as well as Uganda Cranes.
The Lugogo-based club officially began its pre-season preparations on Wednesday, July 1, as it builds towards the 2026/27 campaign.
