OFFICIAL: Muhamud Signs New Contract at KCCA
Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC have confirmed that defender Hassan Muhamud has signed a one-year contract extension to remain at the club.
The Kasasiro Boys announced the extension on Friday evening, July 3, through their official social media platforms.
Speaking after signing his new deal, Muhamud expressed his delight at continuing his journey with the club.
“I am delighted to extend my stay with KCCA FC. I have a good relationship with the head coach, and he has shared his plans with me. I am certain that we can achieve so much as a unit. The club has fantastic players, and this kind of competition keeps every player on their toes, which is healthy for all of us.”
Head coach Brian Ssenyondo welcomed the defender’s decision to stay, describing him as an important figure in the squad.
“Retaining Hassan was a priority for us. He is a senior player whose leadership and versatility give us so many options across the back line. His understanding of our long-term plans made this extension easy.”
Muhamud brings a wealth of experience to the KCCA FC squad, having previously featured for Mbeya City, Police FC, Onduparaka FC, SC Villa, Express FC and Geita Gold FC.
KCCA FC have already strengthened their squad by signing midfielder Elvis Ngonde from SC Villa on a three-year contract, while Express FC midfielder Elvis Ssekajugo has reportedly agreed personal terms to join the Lugogo-based club.
The 13-time Uganda Premier League champions are expected to make further changes to their squad, with more arrivals and departures anticipated before the close of the transfer window.
