Ugandan goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato has officially parted ways with Rwandan top-flight side Mukura Victory Sports.
The club confirmed his departure on Saturday, July 11, through its official social media platforms, announcing that Ssebwato, four other players, and two members of the technical team would leave following the expiry of their contracts.
Mukura opted not to renew the contracts of the departing players and coaches as part of the club’s restructuring ahead of the new season.
Ssebwato leaves the club after five years, having joined Mukura Victory Sports from Proline FC in 2021.
During his time at the club, the experienced goalkeeper established himself as one of Mukura’s key players and was appointed club captain in 2024.
The 34-year-old also played a pivotal role in helping Buganda Province win their maiden FUFA Drum tournament title in 2018.
Over the course of his career, Ssebwato has featured for Proline FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Sofapaka FC, SC Villa, and several other clubs, in addition to representing the Uganda Cranes at international level.
