Crested Cranes Defender Joins Yanga Princess
Crested Cranes left-back Sumaya Komuntale has completed her move to Tanzanian side Yanga Princess from She Corporate FC.
As earlier reported by Sports Light Uganda, the talented left-back has signed a two-year contract with Yanga Princess.
Komuntale is reportedly among the top earners at the club.
She leaves She Corporate after spending the second round of the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League season with the club.
The 23-year-old becomes the second Ugandan player to join Yanga Princess during the ongoing transfer window, following striker Resty Kobusobozi.
Komuntale is widely regarded as one of Uganda’s finest left-backs. She has represented the country at U17, U20 and senior national team levels.
Yanga Princess are strengthening their squad as they look to challenge reigning champions Simba Queens and JKT Queens for the league title next season.
Sports Light Uganda understands that more Ugandan players could soon join the Tanzanian side.
