Muhammad Shaban Set to Join Kenyan Side

Uganda Cranes striker Muhammad Shaban is in advanced talks to join Kenyan side Nairobi United FC.

Shaban, who is a free agent following a short spell at Kitara FC, is understood to have agreed personal terms with Nairobi United, with only his official unveiling remaining.

The striker joined Kitara in February this year but opted to leave the Hoima-based side after the conclusion of the season.

Should the move be completed, Shaban will join fellow Ugandans at Nairobi United, including left-back Mustapha Kizza, Charles Waibi, Titus Ssematimba and Gavin Kizito, who was officially unveiled by the club on Friday.

Shaban rose to prominence in Ugandan football during his impressive spell at Onduparaka FC, where his performances earned him recognition as one of the country’s leading strikers.

He has since gone on to play for several prominent clubs, including Vipers SC, KCCA FC and Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca, among others.

At Nairobi United, Shaban would bring a wealth of experience that could prove valuable as the club pursues its long-term ambitions in the Kenyan Premier League and seeks a return to continental football.
