Maroons vs UPDF – Prisons Grounds, Luzira 4pm
Lugazi vs KCCA – Najjembe 4pm
Express FC vs URA – Hamz stadium, Nakivubo 8pm
Vipers vs Calvary – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 8pm

Express FC will host URA FC today at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo in a special Uganda Premier League Matchday 21 encounter.

The Uganda Premier League Fans Meetup group has organized a special Iftar dinner for Muslim fans attending the game, where free food and drinks will be provided to help them break their fast.

Express FC head into this fixture desperate for maximum points following a 3-0 defeat to KCCA FC in their previous outing, a result that extended their winless run in the league to seven matches.

The Red Eagles are not only struggling with results on the pitch but are also dealing with off-field challenges.

Forty-eight hours ago, the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Ashiraf Miiro Mwanje, and team captain Ashraf Mbazira were provisionally suspended by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel over match-fixing allegations, further compounding the club’s difficulties.

URA FC, on the other hand, come into the match in good form. The Tax Collectors are unbeaten in their last seven league matches and secured a 1-0 victory over Lugazi FC in their most recent game, courtesy of a lone strike from Isma Mugulusi.

The first-round meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw, while URA FC won the corresponding fixture last season.

Hussein Mbalangu’s side currently sit 10th on the league table with 22 points, just two points and one place above Express FC.

Express FC will welcome the return of Lawrence Bukenya, who is back and available for selection.

However, captain Ashraf Mbazira will miss the match following his provisional suspension by FUFA earlier this week over match-fixing allegations. The rest of the squad remains available for selection.

For URA FC, Fred Amaku returns from suspension and is available for the clash, while George Masembe and Abdu Magada remain the only absentees.
