Yanga Princess vs Simba Queens — 6:00 PM

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Yanga Princess will face Simba Queens in the women’s Kariakoo Derby as the two fierce rivals meet in the Community Shield semifinal.

The final, scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, at KMC Stadium, will be an all-Ugandan affair, with both teams featuring several Ugandan players.

The Community Shield is contested between the previous league champions, runners-up, third placed team, and fourth team and serves as the curtain-raiser for the 2026-27 season.

Ugandan newcomers Sumaya Komuntale, Joan Nabirye, Resty Kobusobozi and goalkeeper Molly Naava are all set to make their Yanga Princess debuts in the final. Leticia Nabbosa is another Ugandan player at the club.

Sumaya Komuntale, who joined Yanga Princess from She Corporate in a big-money deal, will be expected to deliver a strong performance and demonstrate her value to the Tanzanian giants.

Resty Kobusobozi, who has been scoring goals consistently in the FUFA Women Super League, will also have a major role to play as she looks to find the net and help her side secure the trophy.

Goalkeeper Molly Naava will be keen to prove why she was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Uganda last season.

For Simba Queens, goalkeeper Ruth Aturo and Zainah Nandede will lead their side in their quest for the trophy.

Last season, Simba Queens defeated JKT Queens on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time to win the Community Shield.
