Friday Fixtures
URA FC vs Tapo United – 3pm, Nakivubo
Express FC vs Red Devo FC – 7pm, Nakivubo
Two Uganda Premier League sides will be in action today as URA FC face Tapo United in the early kick-off, while Express FC take on Red Devo FC later in the evening. Both matches will be played at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
Six teams have already secured places in the quarterfinals, five of them from the Uganda Premier League. Express FC and URA FC will be aiming to join them and complete the last-eight lineup.
Express FC vs Red Devo FC
Express head into the late fixture buoyed by their recent 3–1 victory over URA FC and will look to replicate that performance to advance.
The Red Eagles eliminated Ntugasaze to reach the Round of 16, while Red Devo knocked out Kaaro Karungi.
Express FC head coach Jimmy Kintu expressed confidence ahead of the match, noting that the team has prepared well and is in high spirits. He emphasised the need to approach the game with focus and determination, while also calling on fans to turn up in large numbers to support the team.
The Red Eagles will have a full squad available for selection, except for captain Ashraf Mbazira, who remains provisionally suspended by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations Disciplinary Panel over match-fixing allegations.
URA FC vs Tapo United

URA FC, coached by Hussein Mbalangu, will be aiming to return to winning ways after their defeat to Express in their previous outing.
The Tax Collectors reached this stage after eliminating Blacks Power on penalties, while Tapo United edged out Mutolere FC.
Mbalangu acknowledged the unpredictable nature of knockout football, stating that his side expects a tough contest but will field a strong team to ensure progression.
URA FC will be without Hudu Mulikyi, George Masembe, and Abdu Magada, who are all unavailable for selection.
Defending champions Vipers SC, along with SC Villa, KCCA FC, NEC FC, Kitara FC, and Happy Boys Kagaba, are the six teams that have already progressed to the quarterfinals.
