PREVIEW

The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League returns this weekend, with league leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC away to Amus College FC in Bukedea on Saturday.

Kawempe head into the fixture on the back of a 2–0 victory over She Corporate FC, a result that saw them reclaim top spot. Amus, on the other hand, played out a goalless draw with 2021 champions Lady Doves in their previous outing.

In the reverse fixture, Agnes Nabukenya scored a brace to secure all three points for Kawempe, while Doreen Aujat’s late consolation proved insufficient for Amus.

The last time Amus hosted Kawempe, the sides settled for a 1–1 draw. Esther Namataka was on target for Amus, while Kawempe benefited from a late own goal by Amiya Jazirah to earn a share of the points.

Form guide suggests a closely contested encounter. Kawempe have won three and drawn two of their last five matches, keeping two clean sheets in the process.

Amus have recorded one win, one loss and three draws in their last five league games, conceding just once during that run.

Notably, this fixture has never ended in a goalless draw, including cup competitions. Amus edged Kawempe 1–0 in the 2025 FUFA Women Cup final held in Lugogo.

A victory for Kawempe would mark their first-ever consecutive wins over Amus and take them to 52 points at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, a win for Amus would lift them to fourth place on 23 points, provided that Uganda Martyrs and St. Noa fail to win their respective matches.

Kawempe 1–1 Amus – March 2025
