BREAKING: Tragedy Strikes as Red Devo Fans Die in Kalule Accident After Uganda Cup Exit

A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of three supporters of Red Devo FC following their team’s Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 16 clash against Express FC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.

According to reports from Pacu Pacu Sports, the accident occurred at Kalule as the fans were returning from the match in which Express FC defeated Red Devo FC 4-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.

The taxi involved in the accident carrying several Red Devo supporters when it was involved in the fatal crash. Three people, including the driver, have been confirmed dead. The deceased have been identified as Oyuku Arafat, Kawinya, and Odyek Juma.

Several other passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

The incident has cast a dark shadow over what had been a competitive Uganda Cup fixture, turning a day of football into one of mourning for the Red Devo FC community.

Express FC had earlier secured a dominant 4-0 victory, with Kenneth Kimera scoring a brace, while Henry Wamala and Herbert Asiimwe each added a goal to seal progression to the last eight.

As news of the tragedy spreads, messages of condolence continue to pour in for the victims’ families, friends, and the entire Red Devo FC fraternity during this difficult time.
