Defending champions Kampala Queens dropped crucial points in the title race after being held to a 1-1 draw by She Maroons on Saturday.
In the match played at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, Peace Muduwa gave the hosts the lead before Norah Alupo struck an equaliser to earn She Maroons a valuable point.
Heading into the fixture, Kampala Queens had an opportunity to close the gap on table leaders Kawempe to five points. However, the draw leaves them seven points behind, with Kawempe still having a game in hand that could extend the lead to ten.
Kampala Queens started brightly, and just three minutes into the first half, Catherine Nagadya squandered a clear scoring opportunity. Four minutes later, Joanitah Ainembabazi set up Peace Muduwa, who calmly finished to give the hosts a deserved lead.
However, before the break, a mistake by goalkeeper Sharon Kaidu gifted Norah Alupo the chance to level matters for the visitors.
The second half was largely uneventful, with both sides appearing content to settle for a point as clear-cut chances remained limited.

At full time, the teams shared the spoils, with She Maroons taking four points off Kampala Queens this season — their highest tally against the champions in a single campaign.
Kampala Queens remain third on the table with 32 points, while She Maroons sit seventh with 19 points.
In their next fixtures, Kampala Queens will face She Corporate away on Saturday, April 4, while She Maroons will host Olila on the same day.
Elsewhere, St Noa secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Asubo Ladies, while Uganda Martyrs defeated Olila 3-1 in Soroti.
