She Corporate FC produced a spirited comeback to defeat Rines 3-2 and keep their title hopes alive in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League.
In the match played on Sunday at a slippery Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso, the hosts took an early lead through Sophia Nakiyingi. Rines capitalised on a turnover in possession, with youngster Justine Ayerango leading the counterattack and delivering a precise cross that Nakiyingi converted with ease.
The hosts doubled their advantage to pile pressure on the title-chasing visitors. Midfielder Yuster Kayesu delivered a dangerous free kick that unsettled the She Corporate defence, and captain Patricia Nakato Nanyanzi reacted quickest to score from the rebound.
She Corporate had an opportunity to reduce the deficit, but Jesca Namanda initially missed a clear chance.
However, the visitors remained persistent, and minutes later Namanda pulled one back. Sandra Kisakye delivered a cross into the box, which the Rines defence failed to clear, allowing Namanda to slot home.
Before the break, Namanda struck again, heading in the equaliser to complete her brace and restore parity for the visitors.
In the second half, Rines pushed to avoid a first home defeat of the second round, while She Corporate pressed for a winner to maintain their title charge.

The decisive goal came through Rebecca Nakato, who converted from close range after Namanda’s effort struck the crossbar, sealing a remarkable comeback for the visitors.
Namanda’s brace took her tally to 13 league goals, making her the top scorer, three ahead of Catherine Nagadya.
She Corporate remain second on the table with 41 points, just one behind leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, who secured a 1-0 victory over Lady Doves courtesy of Latifah Nakasi’s solitary goal.
In their next fixture, She Corporate will host Kampala Queens on Saturday, April 4, at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, while Rines will face Amus away on the same day.
Elsewhere, Noeline Namiro’s free kick proved decisive as Makerere University edged Amus College 1-0.
