The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League fixture between Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC and St Noa Girls FC has been postponed.
The FUFA Competitions Office informed both clubs that the match was called off due to the unavailability of several St Noa players who have been summoned to the national U-17 team, the Teen Cranes.
In a communication to the clubs, the office stated:
“This is to inform you that the FWSL match between Uganda Martyrs H/S WFC and St. Noa Girls FC has been postponed due to St. Noa having seven players summoned to the U-17 national team.
A new date will be communicated in due course.
Any inconvenience caused is highly regretted.”
According to league regulations, a match may be postponed if a team has three or more players on national duty.
The game had been scheduled for this Saturday at St Gerald’s Playground, the home of Uganda Martyrs. As a result, only five league matches will be played over the weekend.
The Teen Cranes are currently in camp at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, preparing for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe. The two-legged tie is set to be played on April 11 and 18, 2026.
The St Noa players in the Teen Cranes squad are Adam Namuwaya, Martha Babirye, Nancy Jude Mandera, Brenda Nassaka, Faith Nalwadda, Giovanna Aketogwanga, and Zainabu Birungi.
Additionally, forward Marion Serenge has been named in Kenya’s provisional squad for the FIFA Series, bringing the total number of absent players to eight.
