FIFA Women’s Series: Two FUFA Women Super League players named in Kenya’s provisional squad

Marion Serenge of St Noa Girls FC and Shaylne Opisa of Amus College WFC have been named in the Kenya Harambee Starlets provisional squad ahead of the inaugural FIFA Women’s Series.

Serenge earns her first senior national team call-up following an impressive second-round performance with FUFA Women Super League side St Noa.

The quick and intelligent forward has scored five goals in five league matches, including a hat-trick against Asubo Ladies last weekend.

She joined St Noa Girls FC during the mid-season transfer window and was previously part of the Kenya U-17 women’s national team during the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Opisa, who has scored twice in the league this season, has also been a key figure for both her club and the national team.

Kenya will face Malawi, India, and Australia in the tournament as part of preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled for July this year in Morocco.

The FIFA Women’s Series will be held from April 11 to 15, 2026, at Nyayo National Stadium.

Harambee Starlets, under head coach Beldine Odemba, will be aiming to compete strongly and build a winning mentality in the inaugural tournament.

Players are expected to report to camp on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
