Kizza Nets Stunning Free-Kick as Nairobi United Hold Kakamega Homeboyz

Ugandan left-back Mustafa Kizza scored a superb free-kick as Nairobi United came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz on Wednesday.

Kizza came off the bench and needed only nine minutes to make an impact, scoring a stunning equaliser to earn his side a valuable point.

In a closely contested encounter, Oliver Machaka gave the hosts the lead before Michael Karamor equalised for Nairobi United. Machaka restored Kakamega Homeboyz’s advantage, handing them a 2-1 lead at halftime.

In the last stanza of the game, Nairobi United introduced Kizza in the 61st minute while trailing 2-1.

Nine minutes after coming on, the former KCCA FC defender curled a brilliant free-kick into the top left corner to level the score at 2-2.

The goal proved decisive, as Nairobi United held on to secure a point.

It was the second consecutive match in which Kizza has come off the bench to score. In the previous game, he netted the third goal in a 3-0 victory over Shabana.

The draw leaves Nairobi United seventh on the table, seven points behind the top three.
