Jesca Namanda scored a brace as She Corporate secured a 2-0 victory over Kampala Queens to complete the double and maintain their challenge in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League title race.

The match, played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Saturday, saw She Corporate take control early in a tightly contested encounter.

The breakthrough came in the 17th minute when Namanda capitalized on a defensive error by Kampala Queens’ Marion Amangat, who failed to control the ball outside the box. Namanda swiftly lobbed goalkeeper Sharon Kaidu, who was off her line, to give the hosts a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Kampala Queens introduced Shamusa Najjuma for Zaitun Namaganda, increasing their attacking threat.

Catherine Nagadya came close to equalizing, but She Corporate goalkeeper Molly Naava, returning from a suspension, made crucial saves, denying both Nagadya and Peace Muduwa to maintain her status as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.

The match was effectively sealed in stoppage time when Namanda struck again in the 90+2 minute, scoring her second goal to secure the win.

With this brace, Namanda has now scored five goals against Kampala Queens this season, following a hat-trick in the first-leg 3-2 victory.

Namanda also leads the league’s scoring charts with 14 goals in 18 games, one ahead of Latifah Nakasi, who netted a haul against Asubo Ladies earlier in the day.

She Corporate remains in second place with 44 points, just one behind table leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.

In the next fixtures, She Corporate will visit Olila in Soroti on Saturday, April 11, while Kampala Queens will host Amus College the following day.
