Preview: Kawempe Host She Corporate in a do or die encounter The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League returns this weekend with a crucial clash on Sunday as Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC host She Corporate in a top-of-the-table encounter.

She Corporate head into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Lady Doves in their previous outing, while Kawempe Muslim settled for a 1-1 draw against She Maroons in Luzira.

In the first-round meeting between the two sides, Kawempe secured a 2-0 victory in Njeru, courtesy of a brace from Latifah Nakasi.

Sunday’s fixture presents a significant opportunity for both teams.A win for Kawempe would see them move to the top of the table, while victory for She Corporate would extend their lead to five points.

Kawempe head coach Ayub Khalifah says his side is fully focused on securing maximum points.“We have completed our final training session and all players were involved. We have no injuries in the squad,” Khalifah said.

“We failed to win our previous game, which gave our opponents an advantage to move to the top of the table. However, we go into this game with one aim — to win the three points.” he added

“She Corporate are a tough team, but I have always said we teach attacking football, and we hope it will help us win the game on Sunday.” he concluded

She Corporate currently lead the league table with 35 points, two points ahead of Kawempe Muslim.

The Sharks will look to striker Jesca Namanda, who is the joint top scorer in the league with 10 goals this season.

For the Valley Warriors, much of the attacking responsibility will fall on Latifah Nakasi and captain Agnes Nabukenya, who have scored eight and seven league goals respectively.

In the last seven meetings between the two sides, Kawempe have registered one win, suffered two defeats and drawn four times.
