Mulindwa Pledges Huge Bonus to Boost Vipers SC Title Charge

Vipers SC’s pursuit of the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League title has received a major boost after the club president, Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, pledged a hefty bonus should the team win the league this season.

According to reports, Mulindwa has promised the team UGX 300 million if they go on to secure the league title.

Sources also indicate that the players were awarded UGX 50 million last week for finishing the first round of the season at the top of the table.

Vipers currently lead the Uganda Premier League standings with 50 points from 21 matches. The Venoms need to win their next eight league games to mathematically secure the title.

Last season, the club received UGX 200 million from the president after winning the league championship.

Meanwhile, the winner of the Uganda Premier League receives UGX 60 million in prize money from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations.

In their next two league fixtures, Vipers will host Kitara FC on April 10 before visiting SC Villa on April 18.

Both matches are expected to play a crucial role in the defending champions’ quest to retain the league title.

  1. I honourably thank Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa for the developing Ugandan football, amidst all the challenges.
How can a league prize be @60m only yet he can award his team more than 300m.
