Okello Shines as Young Africans Beat Pamba

Uganda Cranes forward Allan Okello delivered an outstanding performance, registering a hat-trick of assists as Young Africans S.C. defeated Pamba FC 3-0 away in the NBC Premier League.

Okello made an early impact, setting up Yahya Mudathir inside just eight minutes before providing a second assist for the same player in the 34th minute.

In the second half, he completed his hat-trick of assists by setting up Congolese international Maxi Nzengeli to seal the 3-0 victory for the visitors.

After an impressive display, Okello was rested in the 73rd minute and replaced by Ibrahim Sheikhan.

The Ugandan midfielder has been in fine form, having scored once and assisted another in Young Africans’ previous win over Tanzania Prisons.

Meanwhile, fellow Ugandan Peter Lwasa featured for Pamba FC, playing 50 minutes in the match.

The victory keeps Young Africans top of the table with 44 points, nine ahead of Simba SC, although the latter have two games in hand.

Next, Okello and his side will host TMA Stars on 11 April in a cup fixture before returning to league action against Mbeya City on 16 April 2026.
