Kitara Football Club produced a dominant performance to defeat FUFA Big League side Bunyaruguru United 6–0 on Wednesday, securing a place in the Uganda Cup quarterfinals.
Gaddafi Wahab, Jimmy Kalema, Benjamin Nyakoojo, Samuel Kato, George Senkaaba, and Living Kabon were all on target as Kitara registered an emphatic victory at Royals Park in Butema.
Wahab opened the scoring in the sixth minute to give the hosts an early lead. Kalema, returning after a two-month injury layoff, marked his comeback with a goal to double Kitara’s advantage.
Before halftime, former KCCA FC defender Samuel Kato Nemeyimana extended the lead, ensuring the hosts went into the break with a comfortable 3–0 cushion.

Kitara maintained their momentum in the second half, with towering defender Benjamin Nyakoojo heading in the fourth goal.
The scoring continued as in-form pair Living Kabon and striker George Senkaaba each found the net to complete a resounding 6–0 win for the Royals.
The 2024 champions join NEC FC, KCCA FC, and Happy Boys Kagaba among the teams that have already secured places in the quarterfinals.
