The new campaign is scheduled to kick off on August 28, 2026, while the official league fixtures will be released on July 28.
Vipers SC enter the season as the defending champions after winning their eighth Uganda Premier League title. The Venoms were crowned champions on May 23 following a successful campaign.
Before the start of the new season, attention will turn to the FUFA Super 8 tournament, which is scheduled to run from August 1 to August 16.
The competition will feature the top eight teams from the concluded 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season, namely Vipers SC, KCCA FC, SC Villa, Kitara FC, NEC FC, Police FC, Entebbe UPPC FC, and Maroons FC.

Meanwhile, the FUFA Super Cup will be played on August 23.
The annual curtain-raiser will pit Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC against Stanbic Uganda Cup winners Kitara FC.
FUFA has also confirmed that the primary player registration window will open on July 1 and close on September 19, giving clubs ample time to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.
With the dates now confirmed, clubs will begin preparations for what promises to be another competitive Uganda Premier League season.
