2026 FUFA Women’s Cup: Draw Conducted, Eight Teams Handed Byes

The draws for the 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup were conducted on Monday, 13 April 2026.

The event, held live on FUFA TV and conducted by former Crested Cranes captain Christine Wanyana, saw 40 teams learn their roadmap to the title.

The draw, marking the seventh edition of the competition, determined the match-ups for the preliminary round, which will feature 32 teams drawn from the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, the FUFA Women Elite League, regional leagues, and one non-league side from across the country.

Last year’s quarterfinalists have been granted a bye to the round of 16. These include Amus College, Kawempe Muslim, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, Kampala Queens, Lady Doves, St Noa, She Corporate, and Wakiso Hill WFC, all of whom reached the last eight in the previous edition.

Olila High School WFC won the inaugural FUFA Women’s Cup, while Amus College are the current holders.

Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC, She Corporate, UCU Lady Cardinals, and Lady Doves have each won the competition once.

The 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup will kick off on 19 April with the preliminary round. The tournament will be played on a single-leg knockout basis until the semifinals, which will be contested over two legs.

It was also confirmed that this year’s final will be held at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
