The 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season will climax on Sunday morning, with all attention focused on the battle for the league title on the final day.

She Corporate FC currently lead the table with 50 points from 21 matches, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC sit second with 49 points.

Both sides will be playing at home and are aiming to make history, as either team could become the first club to win the league title with the highest points tally in the competition’s history.

In their previous matches, She Corporate suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat away to Uganda Martyrs WFC, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies were held to a 1-1 draw by Kampala Queens FC at Lugogo.

She Corporate host She Maroons in Njeru after the two sides played out a goalless draw in the first-round meeting in Luzira.

Last season, She Corporate defeated She Maroons FC 2-1 at home, and they will be hoping to produce a similar performance to secure their second league title in history.

She Maroons head into the encounter after winning their last two matches, including Friday morning’s victory over St Noa Girls FC.

However, the tight schedule could affect their energy levels heading into Sunday’s decisive fixture.

While She Maroons have played multiple matches within a short period, She Corporate FC have had the entire week to prepare for the title decider.

A victory for She Corporate will officially crown them champions of the 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, adding to the title they won in the 2021/22 season, which was also secured on the final day.

For Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, they must defeat already relegated Olila High School WFC and hope She Corporate fail to beat She Maroons in order to win the title.

In the first-round meeting, Kawempe Muslim defeated Olila High School WFC 3-1 away from home. However, there are concerns over whether Olila will honour the fixture after previously failing to travel for away matches against St Noa Girls FC and Uganda Martyrs WFC earlier this season.

Away from the title race, the battle for the Golden Boot also remains open between two players from the title-chasing sides.

She Corporate striker Jesca Namanda leads the scoring charts with 15 goals, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC forward Latifah Nakasi follows closely with 14 goals.

Sunday’s fixtures present a major opportunity for either player to win the Golden Boot award for the first time in their careers.

It should also be noted that the champions of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League will represent Uganda in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA zonal qualifiers.

Both She Corporate FC and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC are just 90 minutes away from glory, although Kawempe will also need a favour from She Maroons FC in Njeru.

Meanwhile, Asubo Ladies FC and Olila High School WFC have already been relegated and will compete in the FUFA Women Elite League next season.
