‘Sack Everyone Now’ – Mbarara City Fan Fumes After Ntugasaze Loss

An ardent Mbarara City fan has called for the immediate dismissal of the club’s backroom staff following their narrow 1-0 defeat to Ntugasaze in Kira.

Asiat Natukwasa, who uses Ankole Linones on her X account, reposted Mbarara City’s full-time poster and expressed her frustration, writing: “Sack everyone on that board now now.”

She accompanied the post with emojis expressing her disappointment.

Her call for changes sparked debate among Mbarara City supporters, with some fans arguing that such a decision would be premature, while others expressed concern that the club could be heading for relegation.

Natukwasa is not only an ardent Mbarara City fan but also a diehard supporter of Ugandan football, a highly educated individual and a football administrator.

On Wednesday, October 7, Mbarara City suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ntugasaze, with Jacob Opar scoring the only goal of the game in the first half.

The defeat left the Ankole Lions winless and without a league goal after four games, with just two points collected so far, leaving them in the relegation zone.

Mbarara City will return to action on Sunday, October 11, when they host Blacks Power as they seek their first victory of the season.

After the Blacks Power encounter, the Ankole Lions face a difficult run of fixtures, travelling to Kampala to take on SC Villa before hosting giants Vipers and KCCA respectively.
