Allan Okello Clinches Third Individual Award After Stellar May Performances

Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Okello has added another accolade to his growing collection after being named the NBC Premier League Player of the Month for May.

The Young Africans playmaker has now won three individual awards for his outstanding performances during the month.

Okello first claimed the Footballer of the Month award at the Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards before being named Young Africans’ NIC Insurance Player of the Month.

He has now been recognised as the best player in Tanzania’s top-flight league for May.

The former Vipers SC star enjoyed a remarkable month, scoring nine goals and providing one assist in seven matches to register 10 goal contributions.

Since joining Young Africans at the start of 2026, Okello has established himself as one of the club’s most influential players and a key figure in their success.

His impressive performances have not only earned him individual recognition but have also attracted interest from several clubs abroad.

Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are reportedly among the leading contenders for his signature should negotiations progress and all parties reach an agreement.

With his form continuing to improve, Okello remains one of the most outstanding Ugandan footballers currently playing outside the country.
