Alpha Thiery Ssali Returns to Express

Exciting youngster Alpha Thiery Ssali is set to return to former club Express FC ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season.

Ssali is understood to have agreed to mutually terminate his contract with KCCA FC following a disappointing spell at the Lugogo-based club.

The son of musician Bebe Cool joined KCCA from NEC FC in September last year. However, he struggled for regular playing time due to stiff competition for places.

Ssali now returns to a familiar environment at Express FC, where he spent one-and-a-half years, and will be looking to fight for a starting place ahead of the new campaign.

He will join striker Isaac Wagoina, who has already been unveiled as Express FC’s first signing of the transfer window.

Several other players have been linked with Express FC as the club undergoes a rebuilding process, including Nicholas Wadada, goalkeeper Mathias Kigoonya and Murushid Juuko, among others.

However, the club has also seen several departures during the ongoing transfer window, including Marvin Nyanzi, Elvis Ssekajugo and Mikdad Senyonga.

Ssali began his professional career at Proline FC before moving on to NEC FC and later KCCA FC.
