Amus College have eliminated London College Nansana from the ongoing USSSA Boys’ Football Championship to reach the semifinals.

In the game played at Lira Town College Playground on Sunday, Mudasir Ijosiga scored the decisive goal as Amus secured a narrow 1-0 victory to progress to the last four.

Ijosiga capitalised on Ivan Okello’s well-weighted pass to tap home and hand Amus the lead.

The Bukedea-based school defended resolutely for the remainder of the game to maintain their slim advantage until the final whistle.

Amus College now join Kyadondo SS in the semifinals after the latter eliminated defending champions Buddo SS with a 1-0 victory in the early kick-off on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the quarterfinals, Bukedea Comprehensive face Masaka SS, while St Mary’s Kitende take on Numasa SS, with the winners completing the semifinal lineup alongside Amus College and Kyadondo SS.
