Badru Kaddu Adds Oshaba as NEC Strengthen Attack

Forward Marvin Oshaba has completed a move to fellow Uganda Premier League side NEC FC from Maroons FC.

Maroons confirmed the departure of their lethal striker through their official website on Thursday morning.

Oshaba leaves Maroons after one year with the club and was their top scorer in the recently concluded FUFA Super 8 tournament.

He joins NEC FC as a replacement for Samuel Ssekamate, as the Bugolobi-based side continue to strengthen their squad.

For Maroons, the club have reunited with striker Fred Amaku, who is expected to lead the attack this season alongside a group of young forwards.

Oshaba is known for his pace, work ethic, discipline and finishing ability. He is also effective with his runs inside the box and can operate as a second striker, giving the coaching staff more options in attack.

The former St Mary’s Kitende student joins Badru Kaddu’s side, who sit second in the league standings with 10 points from four games.

Oshaba arrives at NEC FC at a favourable time, with the league currently on an international break. The pause will give him an opportunity to adapt to his new surroundings and familiarise himself with the team’s playing system before the league resumes next month.

He has previously played for Tooro United, Wakiso Giants, Express FC and Maroons FC, among others.
